The United States has awarded a $200,000 grant for the restoration of Beit Kaddishim, the historic funeral hall located within the Jewish Cemetery in Chișinău. The funding is provided through the U.S. Ambassadors Fund for Cultural Preservation. The project includes historical and archaeological research, an assessment of the monument’s condition, and subsequent restoration work. The project is being implemented by the Museum of Jewish History of the Republic of Moldova in cooperation with partners and representatives of the Jewish community.
